Diabetic pets can do very well on a raw diet. Diabetes is essentially an inability of the body to metabolise carbohydrates: there is a growing body of evidence (particularly in human medicine) to suggest that removing carbohydrates from the diet can greatly improve health outcomes for diabetic patients.
